What is McLaughlin's key offering?
When it was first established, McLaughlin Services offered complete furnace rebuilds, including structural fabrication, refractory, piping, rigging, mechanical assembly, electrical and controls. But it didn’t take long for the Avilla, Ind., company to branch out. Shortly after opening its doors, McLaughlin Services started fabrication of car-bottom, temper and atmosphere furnaces and support equipment. Since then, this MTI Associate Member has started supplying custom flow panels and piping as well as custom, easily expandable endothermic generators.
What additional services does McLaughlin offer?
Additional services offered include rigging, transportation, tear-outs, structural fabrication, piping (atmosphere and fuel gas), mechanical assembly (including pneumatic, hydraulic and power transmission), electrical wiring (power control and thermocouple), and controls (panel building and installation). Scale of service varies from individual component replacement to complete furnace removal and rebuilding. Furnaces can be upgraded to meet current standards and converted from electric to gas. State-of-the-art pulse-fired burners can also be installed on your existing furnace(s).
Can McLaughlin contract at my facility?
McLaughlin Services can provide these services at your facility or, if economical, at its 17,000-square-foot shop. The company also offers custom furnace design and fabrication – unique sizes and/or process, brickwork, support equipment and installation. Other related services provided are start-up assistance, troubleshooting, annual preventive maintenance and NFPA-required safety checks. If that wasn’t enough, among its other specialties is alloy/scrap removal and demolition services. McLaughlin Services also provides on-site rigging of new equipment and boasts state-of-the-art steel fabricating equipment.
Can McLaughlin offer everything we need?
Despite its Midwest location, McLaughlin Services does work for a variety of industries nationwide. Its clients include captive and commercial heat treaters and a wide range of manufacturers (including automotive and aerospace). What makes McLaughlin Services unique is that it is truly a one-stop shop that functions 24 hours a day, seven days per week. It looks to partner with customers to forge a long- term relationship. One thing McLaughlin Services has shown since its inception is the ability to meet the needs of its customers.
